Mabel

This is Mabel. Mabel was found off a freeway in Houston, Tx with her puppy in tow. She was found to be heart-worm positive and finished her injection treatment back in December. This August she goes back to be retested for HW. Mabel is a big cuddle bug. She loves her people and loves to lay in the cool air on a soft blanket, bed, or your couch. Preferably on your lap. She is initially hesitant of strangers who enter the home but after proper introductions and a slow welcome she does just fine. Mabel is not cat or small dog friendly but would do well in a home with other dogs her size or bigger. She weighs over 60 pounds and gets really excited for cuddles or playtime so a home with older kids would probably be preferred. She enjoys walks and has short bursts of energy but would be more content snuggling up on the couch. She is kennel and potty trained. She is fixed and knows a few basic commands like sit and down. She is a sweet girl who will just need some time to adjust before she is loving on her new family.
