My Story

Lydia has found her forever home with the Garnier family in Melrose MA! Congratulations! Lydia is a sweet 40 pound lab mix age 6-7 months oldwho was rescued from a high kill shelter in MS. She is mostly labby in looks, but has brindle coloring and white on the chest and paws, so likely there's some boxer in her background. She might reach 50 some pounds as an adult. She loves everybody. Warning: she loves to give lots of kisses!! She initially did a lot of jumping up for affection when she was first rescued but she has learned not to do that. She sits on command and knows "down" on command. She loves to play catch and catches toys/frisbees in mid-air when playing. She loves attention and she would love an active family, maybe someone to run with her, or at least someone to give her lots of outdoor play time. She would be best for families with children over 5 years old, just because of her youthful energy level. She is crate trained and housebroken. She has not been tested with cats. She is a little anxious when riding in a car, likely something she will grow out of, but she probably wouldn't be suitable for someone who brings their dog around with them all day in a car. Occasional trips in the car should be fine. Can you give sweet Lydia a forever home? Her adoption fee is $350.
