My Story
Meet Lucy Lou! She's a beautiful girl with one blue eye and a brown eye! She has obviously had numerous puppies, but those days are over! She may have never lived in a home, but got to to an overnighter with one of our volunteers. Below is what we learned about her: Scared of machines: vacuums/garage doors, got out of the yard but came back, food motivated and will "shop" in the trash or on counters if her bowl is empty, eager-to-please, very sweet, good with cats & chickens (supervised), calm, listens well, good in groups of people, slept in a different room, doesn't bark, rides well in a vehicle, loves to be brushed, and needs work on potty training. She can be a little growly when she first meets a new dog. She currently weighs 56lbs and is a little underweight. We think Lucy Lou is about 3 years old, and she can be a pretty determined escape artist, so we stress the importance of a secure environment! Lucy Lou would do best in a home with no, or older children. DNA test is in and she's a mixed breed, for sure! German Shepherd, Alaskan Malamute, Siberian Husky and a little coyote & wolf. Please see the Dogs of Del Norte County FB page, or contact us for her full array of breeds!
