Lucky & Bambi

In February 2005 Lucky's story came to a happy ending when he found his new mommy, Arlene. I went to my vet (that I no longer use) with my dog and I was told they had an abandoned, old Chihuahua that they were going to send to the city shelter. Knowing this darling did not have a chance there I took him home and quickly fell in love with this adorable little dog. His charismatic personality made him a favorite in the neighborhood and I thought I might keep him. However one of our volunteers told me of a woman that had lost her little dog and was so sad and so full of love that I decided she was the right person for this wonderful old guy. It was love at first sight and today Lucky is truly lucky. Later we rescued another, elderly Chihuahua from the CACC. Arlene found owning an older dog so rewarding that she adopted Bambi from us too. You can see in their photo that they are sitting happy together on their chair, usually they are on Arlene's lap. Adopting an older dog is a great experience, they are housebroken and eager to please. Please consider giving an older guy or gal a new chance at happiness.
