LUCKY

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE, WE HAVE FOUND A FOSTER HOME FOR LUCKY! LUCKY is lucky in one way but not in some other ways. He was taken from horrific conditions and brought to the safety of rescue - which is lucky or better word is intervention. However, he's not so lucky because he has RINGWORM which means the little gaffer needs a foster home without other dogs, cats or children - NOT LUCKY for us, because we don't have ANY foster homes that are in that category. We tried an outreach email to try and find a suitable foster home for him, but no LUCK. We've decided the best way to share LUCKY's story is through virtual means - our petfinder site and our own website www.speakingofdogs.com He's about 8 weeks old and taken from conditions that can only be described as deplorable. He's a bit shy, but he really hasn't been around many people and it doesn't take him long to wiggle over. He is so young, that should not be an issue given he is placed in a suitable foster home. His RINGWORM condition is a fungus and is more of a nuisance than anything else - it's not a life threatening condition, but it is contagious and would need to be treated with topical lotions and baths. The rescue financially covers all his vetting and supplies the food for him. Again, we are looking for a foster home that does not currently have other dogs, cats or children. Approved foster parents do have first adoption rights on the dogs they are fostering. A fostering contract is required as is a home visit. We can go over all that if you are interested in fostering dear LUCKY. Right now, he's being boarded at a vet clinic but they would like him to move to foster home almost immediately.
