Lucky

Found just down the road from the shelter cold and scared under a parked truck on Dec 28th. He had apparently been further down the road earlier in the afternoon, so he'd put on some miles before being picked up by a visitor to the shelter. We found a microchip on Bennett but the number was no longer in service and no one came looking for him. So this lonely fellow is now available for adoption. He appears to be approx 4 years old. He is a neutered male with a few extra pounds on him. He looks like he could be a cross of beagle and bassett hound and is a friendly guy who is finding it somewhat stressful in a shelter full of barking dogs. We'd love to be able to send him to a new home soon as possible. Our dog adoption fee is $150 which includes spay/neuter, shot, rabies shot and microchip. Puppies that are not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption will require a $300 refundable (upon proof of surgery being presented to MLDHS) spay/neuter deposit.
