Meet Lucky! Isn't he a beautiful boy! Do you see his curly tail? He is a happy boy! Lucky gets the Zoomies and will run in circles for 5 minutes and loves to show off his exuberance for life. Can you picture him running zoomies around your backyard when he realizes he is HOME?! His exuberance is likely too much for small children, but older children and teens are perfect. Your older kids can try to catch him and then they'll be worn out, too! He will need a daily walk or opportunities to run free, but he won't need much in the way of grooming other than to be brushed daily. I guarantee you he is loved by our staff and he loves them, too!! He gets so excited when they come by to feed him or spend time with him. Our huskies share a run with another dog. We are coming in winter, which this breed is most able to handle in their stride. But huskies like all dogs are made for relationships, with people at the head of the pack. They will need an active lifestyle either with a person or with another dog as a companion. We are struggling in our community with getting the message of spay and neuter embraced by adults. Not everyone sees the results of backyard breeding, as do we in pet rescue. About 90% of our households already have dogs, so we count on our out-of-town heroes to help our dogs get homes until we can reduce our animal population thru education.
