Lucky Luciano should be his name....Not only was he pulled from a high kill shelter hours before being euthanized, but he was also in th ER days later with double pneumonia in both lungs. It was touch and go there for a while, but Lucky Luciano made it through despite his heartworm positive status. Hero saved his life, and it couldn't have happened to a better pup. This boy is SO mellow & docile & loving. He has never met a stranger and is a true couch potato, except he prefers the floor. He is 100% potty trained, and does fantastic in a crate. We are offering him as a "Foster to Adopt" while he under goes his Heartworm treatment, which Hero will pay for, of course. At 65 lbs, and about 7+ years old, this boy is a big marshmallow. I cannot stress enough what a good boy he is. Apply today to meet him - you should be so lucky to have him as part of your family ! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
