Lowla (Heeler/Lab mix) came to PAWS as an owner surrender. She was not sure who to trust and it took a while for her to warm up to staff. Once she got settled in, she started showing off her loving and fun side. She surprised everyone when her belly started to grow......and it wasn't from her favorite treats. We soon learned that Lowla was pregnant and was due in a few weeks. Lowla gave birth to 9 babies.......yes 9 adorable pups were born at the shelter.
Lowla was a great mom but she was happy to say goodbye to her pups when the time came. She can be a loving dog, but she wants others to respect her space. Lowla is looking for a calm home and a best friend to have new adventures with. She would be best as only dog and no children. She is 4 years old, very smart, and quite active.
