LOVE BUG (Neutered!)

This big, friendly boy named LOVE BUG arrived at the shelter late in 2023 with a high energy level and a fear of a leash. Staff worked with him and was able to get him past his fear. So, he is definitely available for adoption! He was listed as a lab/cur mix, 7 to 8 months of age and weighing 55 pounds at his intake date in December 2023. He was considered a young dog at that point and has now been there long enough to be considered an adult. Thankfully, LOVE BUG has finally made the grade! Even better, he was selected for a sponsored neuter surgery on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, thanks to a partnership between UT and Cumberland County Animal Shelter. Following his surgery, he was returned to the shelter to recover and is available for adoption appointments. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt him. Even better, take a large dog crate with you to that appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
