ADOPTED! - Hi! My name is Louie! My elderly owners took good care of me and they loved me very much, but they were moving into assisted living and could no longer keep me, so they brought me to their vet clinic to be put to sleep. Fortunately, a very nice person who works at the clinic offered to try to find me a new home. Thank heaven my life was saved! Anyway, here's the "scoop" on me: I'm 6 years old and I weigh about 15 lbs.(OK.....I admit it. I'm a bit overweight, but....I LOVE to go for walks, so you and I could get some fresh air and exercise together, hu?) I would be a wonderful companion for a retired couple or for someone who works out of his/her home. I get along with other dogs and would make a great pal for an elderly dog to bond with or....I wouldn't mind being an "only" dog either. I'm not a big barker (like some Poms are!) and I would enjoy a nice, quiet home like the home I used to have. I love to be petted, but I do have one little "quirk": I don't like to be picked up, so an adults-only home would be best for me. I'm housebroken, neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped--and my adoption fee is only $225.
