Meet Lorene! A 3 year old Chi mix who bravely started her journey from a challenging hoarding case towards finding her forever home. With a shy demeanor that melts away to reveal a deeply affectionate nature, especially once she bonds with her favorite person. Her past experiences have made her particularly cautious around men, but with patience and gentle encouragement, she reveals her true cuddly self. Lorene is on the lookout for a compassionate and patient owner who understands her need for time to adjust and bloom into the loyal and loving companion she's meant to be. While she enjoys the company of other dogs, Lorene wouldn't mind being the sole recipient of her human's affection, as it would allow her the space and tranquility to fully come into her own. She's not only friendly and gentle but also well-mannered, having been house and crate trained. Lorene's ideal home would be one where she feels safe and loved, with plenty of opportunities for quiet bonding and gradual socialization. Thank you for choosing to rescue! ----------------------PLEASE READ------------------------------- Our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for adoption in the Pacific Northwest... with stops in - Lacey, WA, Tukwila, WA, and Portland, OR. These dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. Our out of state adoption fee is $550 for adults and $650 for puppies. This fee includes: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm and flea preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, insurance for 30 days, microchip with registration, health certificate, and transport costs. As a Saving Hope direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport.
