My Story

Female German shepherd Seeking adopter London formerly known as Bella was used for breeding before being confiscated by local Animal Welfare because she kept escaping and her owner was over the limit and got caught. We fell in love with her immediately and pulled her on 12/1/2022. For over a year London has been to adoption events, 2 foster homes, and then remained in boarding I absolutely adore her and knew she did better with friends and not locked up all day, so I took her home and fostered her myself so she had proper play time. We've gone on amazing adventures together and she's loyal and does amazing with people once she's comfortable. She's not always the brightest but she's stunning and fun to have around and constantly makes me laugh. She has incredible recall once she bonds! Londons prey drive is strong and she must be kept away from small animals and kitties. My living situation is about to change and I no longer can foster London. This means she's destined for boarding and she will decline rapidly. I cannot stand the thought of doing that to a healthy, beautiful, worthy, loving dog whos more than awaited her 2nd chance. As most shepherds are, she can Be neurotic and anxious with new people for a couple days, but un-aggressive. At adoption events, she's been timid and dismissing of new people. Out in public on a leash however, she loves everyone she meets. London is a vocal shepherd when playing, in the car, or if she is demanding food or a potty break. She isn't a barker, but a whiner. This can be off putting to someone who doesn't understand the breed. It however isn't an issue at all if she's had her proper energy outlet ! She MUST have a privacy fence in her new home. London LIVES for Ball, and hiking. She loves water and playing with her dog friends. She will share toys, but not food or treats so she must be fed separately. She is crate trained, potty trained, and healthy and current on prevention and vaccines as well as microchipped. She is now almost 3 years old and spent more than half her earthly life without a family. Londons 2 biggest cons are collar sensitivity/restraint (she will fight for her life if you try to grab her collar but does fine on a leash or harness) and her toy drive which would not make her a good fit in a home with small children that she can easily knock over. She is great with kids but we would recommend older ones. Londons adoption fee is sponsored by me. She must find a home by years end because boarding I strongly feel would be the death of her. So I'm desperate. If you think you have room in your home for a beautiful active silly Sheppie, please reach out to us via mercysakes2ndchancerescue.com Located in Tulsa OK and cant be adopted anywhere in the United states Please share for exposure.
