London

London is an 8-10 year, female, black, mini poodle.  She weighs approximately 11lbs. Her owners had contacted our rescue and we were prepared to take her; when we called to arrange pick up, we were horrified to hear she had been dumped in a rain storm on the side of the road. We are grateful to the rescule who picked her up and brought her safely to us! She arrived in horrific condition with extreme mouth infection and an abundance of mammary tumors on her belly.  London also has a cherry eye that needs to be removed.  Our rescue scheduled London for surgery.  She had multiple tooth extractions with gum infections inside her mouth.  When she arrived, the smell from her mouth was unbearable.  She is recovering nicely from the dental and eating well.  London also had multiple tumors which needed to be removed and was never spayed.  London had quite a surgery day which did not leave enough time for her cherry eye removal.  Our vet felt it was not safe to leave London under anesthesia for another procedure.  She was spayed, tumors removed and dental with extractions.  London will be going back for her cherry eye, but we want her to recover from this first surgery day. London needs and deserves someone who is going to cherish her, love her, and protect her for the rest of her life.   London is extremely sweet, bonds easily and wants to be with her human at all times.  She loves to sleep with you and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats.  Once we accept a dog into our rescue, we are committed to that dog for the remainder of its life.  We take good care of our foster dogs and we always ensure their medical needs are met.  London has been a very expensive dog for our rescue, but given the choice, we would do it again to save her life and provide what she needs.  She is such a sweet girl.  London is still pending cherry eye surgery, but is able to be moved into a quiet foster home while she recovers from surgery.  Rescued Hearts Sarasota would greatly appreciate any financial support toward London’s medical care.  Thank you.   Adoption fee $400
