My Story

**Update** (11/4/23) After being in her foster home for over 7 months, Lola is still recovering from living in a terrible puppy mill situation for her first 6 years of her life. She is making strides everyday with her foster parents and the other dogs in her foster home. Lola still has a very long way to go, so her foster parents have asked that she stay with them as a permanent foster. We feel this is the best option for Lola as she has many emotional scars from her prior life. We are thrilled that Lola feels safe in her permanent foster home. She has a wonderful life with her foster family. (4/27/23) Lola has been spayed and recovered well. She is now in a wonderful foster home where she is learning to be a dog. Lola loves other dogs, but she is not trusting of people. She is doing better with that every day in her foster home. With time, Lola will be a wonderful addition to a family. (3/29/23) This poor girl was pulled from a puppy mill a few days ago. She is one of the most unsocialized mill dogs that we have had in a very long time. We don't think that Lola has ever had a kind word or kind hand shown to her. Lola is very scared, and it may take quite awhile for her to learn to trust. She will need a very patient foster to allow her the time needed to feel safe. Lola will need to have a fenced yard at her new home. We are looking for a foster home in the Leb/Lanc area for our new mill girl. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HELPING LOLA, PLEASE EMAIL [email protected].
