My Story

Meet our lovely Lola! Lola was rescued recently from an abandoned mechanic’s shop in a transitional neighborhood. The owner of the shop sold the place to a developer a little over a month ago, but forgot something behind- LOLA!! Lola was tied up with a rope to one of the machines inside the shop. Little did Lola know, the building was marked for demolition! Until a lucky day 2 weeks ago, a good Samaritan heard Lola’s cries for help. He fed her everyday for 2 weeks until he finally found someone to help her – us! Now Lola is safe, warm and well fed and slowly figuring out that life is going to be good again- in fact, it’s going to be better than it ever was!

Lola is approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 92 pounds (although I expect her to fill out at 105-110 pounds). She is mostly Rottie, but has long Hound ears…very cute! She is the biggest love of a dog you will ever meet! She just puts that big head and paws right in your lap and lays down on you! 100% couch potato!! She leans on you a lot and likes to stay close. She is our gentle girl with a gentle soul.

I promised Lola that she will now have a home of her very own, not a “shop” to call home. Due to the urgent need to rescue her, she is currently being kenneled and we would LOVE a foster for her until her forever home is found!
