She, at some point, had a litter of 7 pups(also listed). Starving, cold and lonely, a neighbor took pity on her and began to feed her but 8 dogs were too much for him and as the pups grew, he knew that he would not be able to care for them all. Desperate to find them a safe place to go, he contacted people in the community and one of them finally requested our help. We picked Lola up and it is obvious that she has been on her own for awhile as she is skinny, dirty and covered in fleas. She appears to be about 3-5 years old but a hard life can age a dog and maybe about 30+/- pounds at this time(she is pretty thin)...she has been doing a fantastic job of caring for her 7 pups as they are all fat and sassy. A bit timid at first, Lola warms up quickly. Lola is as sweet as she can be even with all that she has been thru. It never ceases to amaze me how a pet can still be trusting and loving after abuse, neglect or abandonment!Lola's pups will be weaned in a couple of more weeks and everyone will be available for adoption at that time. Please consider giving this miraculous girl a home where starvation and abandonment are a thing of the past and the only thing that she needs to worry about is where her next hug is coming from. Lola's adoption fee is $150.00. Due to recent, unfortunate circumstances, we are only able to accept CASH as payment of the adoption fee. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
