ADOPTED! - Sweet little Lola is just four months old, but she has already been through some hard times. She was shuffled from home to home three different times before she came to our rescue. She arrived with a slight limp which--over the course of several days--evolved into a significant lameness, and--after having x-rays done--it was determined her rear leg was broken! She recently had surgery and--as you can see--she is sporting a very stylish purple splint which she will have to wear for another week or two. Following that--in another couple of weeks--she will have the pins (that are holding her leg bones in place) removed.
In spite of her trials and tribulations, Lola is a sweet, playful, energetic, mischievous, happy bundle of love and we are eager to find the perfect home for her as soon as her leg heals. We are looking for an adopter who has another little dog for Lola to play with--and hopefully a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing). Also, because she is still working on her housebreaking skills and needs to be taken outside to go potty on a frequent and regular basis, we are looking for a non-latchkey home situation for her. (An individual who works out of his/her home, works part-time, or is retired would be ideal.) Finally, because Lola is so tiny, we prefer to adopt her to an adults-only home, since a child could easily injure her by accident. Lola's adoption fee is $275 and she has been spayed, immunized, and microchipped. If you are interested in possibly adopting Lola, please send us a letter telling us about yourself, your daily schedule, if you have another dog and/or a fenced yard, etc. (Our e-mail address is:
[email protected]) After we read your "cover letter', if we feel Lola would be a good match for you--and you, for her--we will e-mail you an adoption application. >
Lola's adoption fee will not come close to covering the medical expenses we have incurred on her behalf. We do not receive any subsidies or public funding, and our little rescue group is presently scraping the bottom of its piggy bank. If you would like to help us with her vet bills, donations of ANY amount are MUCH appreciated and can be sent to our PayPal account (
[email protected]). or you may send a check to Columbus Countryside Veterinary Clinic, N4359 Temkin Rd., Columbus, Wi. 53925. Or, if you prefer, you may call our veterinary clinic with your charge card donation for Lola. Their number is 920-623-3366. Thank you so much!

We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name below this dog's photo) before contacting us.
