Lola

Meet Lola. Lola is a 16 week old Boston puppy who came into rescue several weeks ago with a severe case of pneumonia and little chance of making it. Her life began in a Missouri puppy mill on July 30, 2005. When she was still quite young she was shipped to a las Vegas pet store. Being so very young and fragile she soon became very sick and was at the vet often and took lots of antibiotics. Finally, at the last vet visit, her lungs were x-rayed and she was diagnosed with a severe case of pneumonia and the vet basically said "you've done all that you can". The pet store owner was at her wits end, she didn't want the pup to die, so she turned her over to me as I work at as a vet tech. I promised to try my best to save her but she wasn't even expected to make it to the vets where I work. When she came in her tongue was blue and she held her head straight in the air to get a breath of air, and she still kept falling over. Well, with the help of IV fluids and humidifier 24/7, nebulizer treatments 3-4 times per day and lots of medicine and a wonderful caring vet, she is doing fantastic today :-) I will be looking for a very special home for this wonderful little creature (she only weighs 2.11lbs) in the near future. I am looking for somebody that has knowledge of the breed, someone who is home most of the time (she is very active and playful), someone who owns their home ( I will check through the Clark County web site) and has a secure fenced yard. I will need to do a home check to ensure your yard is securely fenced and I would love to meet your other pets. LAS VEGAS ADOPTIONS ONLY. This puppy will be adopted on a mandatory spay contract as she is to tiny to be spayed right now. Since the vet bill was quite hefty I am asking for a donation to adopt her which will help pay her vet bill.
