Hi! My name is Carl, Loki, Chicken Minis, Carol The Receptionist; whatever wacky name my foster family decides to call me that day. I was a sad boi before ABLPR picked me up from OCAS with a broken femur (don’t worry, this is a happy story because I got surgery to save my leg thanks to all you amazing people!) With a lot of love from my foster family, the best vets that have taken care of me, and LOTS of treats, I’m on the mend and looking for my forever home. I’m still a puppy (around 7 monthe old) and learning more every day, but I’m so smart that I mastered pottying outside, being crate trained, and ‘sit’ in just one week! I’m a ball of energy (at least that’s what my foster mom keeps calling me) and need lots of toys to keep me occupied. My current foster siblings are two older human boys and two big dogs, a husky and a boxer, so right now I only know how to play with them and would do better in a home with dogs over 20lbs, especially since I’m a growing boy and getting bigger every week. I’m curious about cats, and I've not been around them much. So I might be okay with one in the house with slow introductions. Even though I love to play, I’m also great at cuddling and taking naps on the bed with my foster mom. My favorite thing is to lay on her chest and get pets while she reads. Because I’m a husky/shepherd mix, once I’m healed I’ll need LOTS AND LOTS of physical activity. If I don’t have a fenced in yard, I’ll need long walks every day. I do have an AWESOME singing voice and like to hold private concerts for my family (and maybe the neighbors too) I’m UTD on shots, on monthly heartworm/flea/tick prevention, but I’m not neutered yet because I’m too young- the rescue will cover this once I'm old enough!
