LIZZY

Lizzy is a sweetheart who is motivated by affection and pets, above all things. She is a shadow, albeit a gentle one. She has not been kid tested but is playful with other dogs. Her foster brother is a very rambunctious boy and she handles him quite well. She is shy and tentative in new situations but responds very well to praise - in her first night at her new foster she conquered stairs AND a doggy door with double flaps. What a brave girl! Her dislikes so far include rain and the sounds of a shower - we're going to guess she is never going to be a water dog, so if you're looking for a paddle boarding buddy, she may not be the best fit. She's easily redirected (take the shoe out of her mouth, give her a toy instead, she's golden) and very housetrained. She walks well on a leash until she sees another human, and then she's going to pull you down the sidewalk to get pets, because... humans! However, she does have a little quirk - she doesn't like to potty on leash, so she would appreciate access to a fenced yard to do her business in.
