Hi, I’m Lizzie, a senior dog in search of a loving home. I’ve been well raised – I’m housebroken, walk well on a leash, ride well in a car and am a quiet, well-behaved girl. My foster family has other small dogs, and I get along with them very well. In fact, I like having another dog around who can show me the routine and help me feel comfortable. I like to be within sight of my human whenever I’m not asleep in my big comfy dog bed. I don’t play much and I’m not into roughhousing, so a home with adults or older children would be best for me. I would be a good low-impact companion for the right person. Healthwise, I checked out just fine. My hearing isn’t what it used to be, so visual cues are helpful. I’m pretty quiet, but I LOVE food time and will show you my excitement when mealtime comes! I like to go on walks but am also happy to stay home, as long as I am with you. We also utilize personal reference and vet checks (to ensure that any pets already in the potential adoptive home are current on vaccines, heart worm prevention and sterilized) in our adoption process, all of which is intended to ensure that the best match, between pet and people, is made. The adoption fee is based on on the dog's age.
