Lizzie

Arrival story: A good samaritan rescued Lizzie from an Ohio shelter and needed help finding her a home. She is now with Waggin' Tails and living in a loving foster home with two other dogs (one large and one small).

Approximate age: 1.5 years old

Personality: Lizzie is very friendly and extremely playful. She absolutely LOVES playing with other dogs. She does great with children as well! She is very affectionate, loves to cuddle, and is a great girl with a spunky little personality. She has not exhibited any signs whatsoever of destructive behavior which is very impressive to her foster mom!

Forever home: Lizzie would do best in an active environment where a family will walk and play with her. She would also love a doggie sibling to play with but this is not mandatory.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175, or $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. With few exceptions, we show our adoptable animals on Saturdays from 12pm - 3pm at Petco in Novi (on Novi Rd south of 12 mile) or PetSmart in Canton (the northwest corner of Ford Rd and Haggerty Rd). Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).

Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
