Description of pet
***The Ark of Hope Rescue does not have an adoption fee but we do ask that you consider what The Ark of Hope Rescue does for all the animals that arrive here and make a monetary donation to the rescue. All the animals that come to the rescue have been abused, abandoned or neglected. Most come with large vet bills, the only means that we have to pay our bills, food, treats, bedding, toys...supplies are by your financial donations! Also this rescue is staffed CONPLETELY by volunteers, NO paid salaries here!

***Why is this sad but beautiful girl here?
Little Momma was found standing in the middle of Industrial Blvd in Cumberland, MD with her tail curled up and touching her belly. When Dianne, Ark of Hope owner, stopped to call to her she jumped right in the car. Seeing she had a collar and tags, we thought that we'd be able to get her right back to her owner...but this is where the story goes from bad to worse. We called the shelter where the Rabies tag was issued from only to be told that she had been adopted a couple of weeks earlier. We were told that she was a Pug mix and under a year old. We were given the name and number of the people who adopted her only to be told that they had a brown Chow that had attacked her 4 times so they gave her to someone else...they said that they would find the people's name and phone number and call me back. Needless to say when we called them back to get the number they said they couldn't find it. So Little Momma as she was named at the county shelter, my husband has nick named her "Short Stuff" because she's only knee high, was going to The Ark of Hope Rescue where she would be safe! At the time when she was found, she was in heat. Fearing that she could have gotten pregnant, as soon as she was out of heat we had her spayed. wormed and vaccinated. Little momma just breaks our hearts, she seems so sad, all she wants is someone to hold her and love her forever! She is so quiet, sweet and scared of other dogs. After being attacked over and over by a larger dog she has a good right to be. She is timid with new people just at first but after 10 minutes and a sense that she can trust you she presses right up against you and doesn't want to leave your side. She really needs a home where she will get all the love and playtime a growing puppy needs and should have! She craves any kind of love from anyone and everyone. She also would love to lay around or just to cuddle and watch TV with. She needs a family to love her and a family that she can love in return! Little Momma is an amazing puppy that would make the right family the perfect addition to their family! Please don't let her grow up in a rescue, she needs a home and a family to love!
If you may be that person or that family please follow the directions above in the second paragraph and let's make a meet and greet date! You can always call and ask for Dianne for more information 301-478-3300.
