My Story

Oh Little Bear - life can be so unfair. Rescued as a young puppy from the South Los Angeles Shelter, Little Bear was his foster mom's constant companion when her father died. Sweet and loyal, it was bittersweet for everyone when Little was adopted by a family but we were certain that it was the right home for him. Things change and one divorce later with another one impending, no-one has the time for Little Bear and he finds himself shut in the backyard or locked in the garage. Little doesn't understand why his family would treat him this way and wants only to have a happy loving home again. Little Bear is now approximately 5 years old and weighs about 55lbs. He loves children and gets along with other dogs and cats. He's smart and funny and still so trusting. Most of all though, this boy is all about pleasing his people so if you want to hike, he'll go, ride in the car, he's there, lounge on the couch, he'll snuggle and snore right alongside you. Little Bear deserves a home that will last a lifetime, where his people will always take care of him, and we're determined to make sure he gets it.
