Lincoln

Lincoln is approximately 2 - 3 years old, and a very sweet Poodle mix that came to our shelter as a stray. She currently weighs around 40 - 50 pounds, but could use a little more weight to be around a healthy 55 pounds. Despite him being a stray, and in rough condition on intake he has a great personality, and loves to be with staff, and volunteers. Lincoln has done wonderfully for all handling by vets, and a local groomer. He can be a bit shy at first but in a matter of seconds his tail starts wagging, and he can't get close enough to the person handling her. He seems to do well with other dogs, and could potentially do well with kids, and other animals. With them being a Poodle mix they are the type of dog that will need to be groomed every 4 - 6 weeks, and regular combing/brushing at home to prevent their fur from getting matted. To get them used to grooming it is recommended that they start seeing a groomer as soon as possible to get used to the table, clippers, and bathing. We cannot guarantee that these dogs are "hypoallergenic", or "non-shedding." Lincoln's adoption fee is $200 and this covers his neuter, vaccinations, dewormer, heartworm testing, microchip, monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention while in our care.
