I am a 8 year old Boston/Beagle MIX and weigh 28 pounds. I need a new home because my owners moved. I am being fostered in Kearney, NE. I may be older, but I act young, and love exploring outdoors! I want to meet everyone, but too much stimulation sometimes makes me grumpy, and I will growl. I love to sleep between your legs in a recliner, or just have you play with me with my toys. I'm an over-eater, so food is tempting to me always! I am so smart! I learned how to use the dog door from my foster siblings in 1 day! I adjust well to new things, know "sit", and "down", and "no" I love being outdoors, playing with my foster siblings. I get along with dogs, cats, and kids I would rather not be kenneled, I will loudly protest sometimes, unless my bed is in with me. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption. MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing. MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
