Please visit our website for more information: https://www.niagaradogrescue.com/ or fill in our adoption application: https://niagaradogrescue.com/adoption-application.php Name: Lilian (20240408-04) Weight: 65 lbs Age: Approx 3 years Gender: Female Spayed: Yes Medical Issues: None known Breed: Lab/Husky Mix Colour: White Neck size (for collar): Large Height (from top of head): 25” Length (from nose to base of tail): 30” Crate size recommended: Large Good with women: Yes Good with men: Yes but sometimes cautious Good with kids: Yes, however I would suggest no young kids/toddler age since she is easily spooked/startled Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: No House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: She does not like being in a crate/kennel (will shred blankets and dig at crate) however we do crate her and she has been improving and will settle Energy Level: Low/Medium Can be handled/touched: Yes Barker: No Flight risk: Yes, she would be a risk at first until she trusted her new surroundings Food: Kirkland kibble lamb protein Walks on leash: Yes Leash reactive to people or dogs: No Rides well in car: Yes Destructive: She may be if left loose in the home Needs a home with a yard: Yes, I think she would prefer that Needs a home with another dog: Not necessarily but I think she would like a doggy buddy to help her confidence Can live in an apartment: No History: Lilian lived as a stray/outdoor dog in northern MB. She has gone from being extremely fearful and uncertain of people and places to being very trusting and snuggly. She is doing so well on leash, like an absolute professional walker. She has come so far in the month we have had her with us and is ready for a home where she can continue to build a relationship with her humans and maybe have some calm doggy buddies to live with. She has a goofy side where she will roll/rub her face on the ground/in the snow. Foster Comments: Lilian is a bit slow to warm up but in 2 days she will be glued to your side and follow you everywhere. She is very well socialized and peacefully coexists with other dogs.
