My Story

Licorice is a little 5 pound black toy poodle who is about 8-10 years old. He was turned into the MSPCA after being kept in a basement for 2 years! He was extremely matted and dirty, but as sweet and lovable as could be. PRNE took him in and gave him a badly needed grooming. The mats were so tight that they were pulling at his skin causing sores underneath. Licorice was a trooper through the hours of grooming and turned out to be an adorable dog under all the filth.

Licorice is a resilient boy who has a very loving and happy disposition despite his neglectful past. He is well-behaved and perfectly housebroken, as well as trained to use pee pads in bad weather. He rides quietly in the car and walks well on a leash. He is very affectionate and will crawl up into your lap if it is available. He is not demanding though and will wait patiently in his bed if you are busy. He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home and gets very excited when he sees the cats, barking at them while wagging his tail.

Licorice had a complete physical and blood work done and is up-to-date on his shots. He is neutered, had a recent dental cleaning, and is on heartworm preventative. He would love a home to call his own with a person, couple, or family that is around to give him the time and attention that he deserves. He is a great little dog who longs to be someone's best friend.
