Leyla

Leyla is a gentle, quiet, well mannered and smart female dog who is looking for a loving home. We think she is between 3-5 years old, and currently weighs 29 lbs. Leyla once had a loving person, but they passed away, and she found herself homeless and fending for herself. Thankfully, a kind local couple took her in, and are caring for her, and would love to find her the PERFECT family. Leyla is super sweet and obedient, although she can be a bit cautious of new people and situations, but typically warms up quickly. She is also a bit hesitant to get into a car, but her foster family is working with her on that, and there are already improvements. Leyla is non-reactive to other dogs and strangers. We do not know how she is with children or cats. She will usually come to you when she wants attention. She has never been aggressive in any way, and would not bite. She is sometimes reluctant to come into the house as well, probably because she lived outside on her own for a while, so this is now unfamiliar to her. When she does come into the house, she has had NO accidents, and is definitely potty trained. She is not destructive at all when inside, and very quiet. She doesn't bark much. She has no food aggression whatsoever, and is very easily trainable. Leyla loves to walk on a leash, and also explore her fenced in backyard. She is not a super energetic dog, but does love to run when she has the opportunity. If you are looking for a low maintenance, independent and very mellow dog, Leyla is your girl. She would flourish in a quiet setting, and would be a wonderful companion for an older person or couple. Leyla is a super "easy" dog.
