Lexus

Lexus was born April 16, 2008 and is about 8 months old in these pictures taken November 22, 2008. She is friendly and curious. Lexus growled at another dog when it approached, but we believe she will get along with other dogs once they get to know each other. She has only played with her siblings after all. Lexus did well with the 7 year old volunteer and didn't mind when he approached her. When we cat tested her, she just sniffed and walked away, both times. Lexus weighed 30 pounds when she went to the vet on December 1 to be spayed. We do not think she will get much bigger.

Lexus and her three (3) siblings, Capri, Aston, and Jetta, are a little shy when they first meet people. They have not been off the farm other than to go to the vet and come to LP to get shots and have their picture taken. So being a little afraid is understandable. The owner says the pups are very friendly and playful around the farm with people they know.

There were originally seven (7) pups, but the owner was able to find homes for three of them. Their mom was run over. The remaining pups started to chase the owner's cattle so he decided that he must get rid of them ASAP. Instead of shooting them like most of the cattle people do, he decided to buy a kennel and keep them safe until we can get them adopted.

NOTE: Lexus and her siblings are not at the shelter. A completed and processed application is needed before an appointment to see them will be made. Thank you for understanding.
