This is Lexie. She is a young female Weimaraner. Lexie was saved from a shelter in central Arkansas. Lexie’s owner surrendered her to the shelter because she said Lexie had mastitis after whelping a litter of puppies and she didn’t want to care for her. Lexie does not have mastitis, she was taken away from her puppies when they were just 4 weeks old and she’s still producing milk. Lexie is a very sweet girl, she is about 2 years old, current on vaccinations, microchipped, good with other dogs, crate trained and housebroken. Lexie, unfortunately, is heartworm positive. She will begin her treatment right away. Lexie will be spayed once her milk goes down. If you are interested in Lexie, she can be fostered while undergoing her treatment.
