My Story

Read all this--she has issues with men, so we need to adopt her to someone who is loving and has a fenced yard and not sure about children--if they are older and calm, with loving voice--she is WONDERFUL with ME, and should have NO troupble bonding....have NO idea her breed. looks like: Norwegian Buhund. When she is running free, she doesn't bother anyone- she needs in a big fenced yard. She is quicker to learn to love and trust a woman! Lexie was found by Animal control, who had to break floor boards from an old store porch to rescue her 3 puppies, who were about 6 weeks old. She was a great mom. She is spayed and up to date on shots, de-wormed, bordetella, heartworm preventative. Here is what we know from her fostering....she doesn't run far and she comes right back to me and her kennel. She rolls over to let me rub her belly. She sits for her dinner and treats. Lexie will gently jump up and place her paws on my chest or shoulders and lick my face and under my chin..I am an older woman and I feel much love from her and for her. She is very aware of this. I pet her when she is eating, and have put my hand in her food bowl with no notice by her. She is very obedient and tho' she wants to go out, when I leave, she sits and stays in her kennel.. At her first fosters', she ran free with their dogs during the day and slept in the house at night--no accidents. She likes to play with the cats indoors and will chase them when ouside to play. At both of our homes, she has had one incident of nipping at a man. She did not break skin. My husband had spent time with her in her kennel, cleaned it with his back to her some of that time, but when he went to leave, he had his back to her--that was when she came forward and nipped at his back leg. I am very hesitant for her to be adopted by a family or anyone with children who will visit, tho' she has never hurt a child and I believe that she will be a loving companion for someone. She is 50 pounds. She should be in a fenced yard to keep her safe and close to home. She will be a great, loving companion if you might want to open your heart to her, please email me for more about her! [email protected]
