Lexie

This sweet girl is our most recent PAWS Program Graduate! She is about 1.5 years old what we think to be a whippet mix. Lexi seemed very undernourished when she came to us but she had a beautiful, shiny black coat. She has a very healthy appetite (and she’s been tested for worms and parasites but is just a skinny dog despite being well-fed.) She weighs about 30 lbs. Lexi is very good girl in the sense that she LOVES just about any person big or small (great with kids) She’s very affectionate and loves attention. When it comes to other dogs its a hit or miss. Lexi loves to have friends but she doesn't like to jumped all over or harassed too much. Lexi isn't aggressive in the sense of a fighter but she will protect herself if she feels threatened. She appreciates being outside and basking in the sun, and going on walks. Lexi attended the prison program for a 6 weeks period and she learned her commands along with how to slow down. We do also believe she will be house trained as she waited to go outside when she was at the prison. She’s very energetic, and has spirts of hyperness but she is learning fast. She LOVES treats!! Lexi is a sweet girl who just needs the right family to take her home furever!
