Lexi

Lexi came into our rescue when her beloved momma, one of our fosters and adopter, passed away. Lexi is 3 years old, spayed, chipped, hw negative and about 10 lbs. Great with small dogs and cats. She is house trained and crate trained, but doesn't need to be crated, but she does find a crate to be a safe space. No children under 12 and no dogs over 20 lbs please. If Lexi were to describe herself she would say. "I'm a little shy until I warm up to you. Sometimes with men a little longer. But once I warm up, I want to be your forever lap buddy, but I also have a feisty side and may bite, that is the terrier in me. I can be nippy or growly If I'm pushed to something I don't want to do." Her ideal home would keep her name (it has been hers for so long now), non chaotic, be home more often then not, and have a physically fenced yard. She has been through a lot recently, losing the only home and momma she has known, so we hope that her new family will respect that and know she may take a bit of time to settle into a new place. She really needs someone who understands the breed and will give her the time and space to become comfortable. She loves to be in your lap and just wants to be loved and feel safe.
