 Meet Lexi: Ready for Her Forever Home! We are delighted to announce that Lexi, a loving German Shepherd Mix, is now ready to find her forever family.  Lexi, estimated to be between 3 to 5 years old, has been through quite a journey. After losing her owner and ending up at the pound in Duncan, she spent over a month waiting for a second chance. We were called to help Lexi because her future was uncertain at the pound. Thanks to the incredible kindness of a foster family, Lexi found refuge with us, allowing her to be seen by our vet and experience the warmth of a home environment while we assess her and find her a forever placement. Lexi is a true sweetheart! She adores people and is the best snuggler. Fully housetrained with no accidents, she enjoys her meals and isn't a picky eater. Lexi is very active and agile, and her recall is great! She loves walks, though she’s still learning not to pull on the leash. Lexi is curious and eager to meet other dogs and people, but she sometimes approaches too quickly and can benefit from formal positive reinforcement training. While Lexi isn't aggressive, she can be excitable and pushy, so she may do best as the only dog in a home where she can have all the attention. She would thrive with an active family that has plenty of time for her, ideally with a large yard or acreage for her to run and play. Lexi is great with kids, having enjoyed time with an 8 and 11-year-old without any issues. Lexi deserves a family that will love her unconditionally.
