My Story

Macy, a beautiful one year old black Lab, was very pregnant when she was picked up as a stray. Within a day she gave birth to a litter of precious puppies. We don't know who the dad is. A shelter was no place for a momma and her new babies, so we quickly came to her rescue. Macy and her little family have been lovingly cared for and raised by a very experienced puppy foster . . . they will be ready to go to forever homes June 24 when they are 8 weeks old.

We'll let their wonderful foster mom make the introductions:

Rae is the only yellow female in the litter. She is sometimes a little shy and usually brings up the rear when they go outside.

Emilee is the runt of the litter and much smaller than the rest of the bunch. She is not shy and tends to start all the play.

Levi is the smaller of the two boys, but he is quickly catching up to Connor in the weight department. He’s always in the middle of things.

Karlee is a large black female. She is the first one to the food!

Connor is the biggest boy in the group. He is pretty hefty and very playful.

Kaesee is the troublemaker of the bunch, always jumping on someone to play and she gets rough and does the puppy growl. Need I add she is not shy?

Puppies, while adorable, are not for everyone. Think carefully if your lifestyle has room for the extraordinary responsibility of raising a puppy. Do you truly have time for the daily nurturing and constant supervision required? Do you mind piddles on your floor, chewing on your things and, before you know it, a “teenage puppy” with ideas of his or her own? The proper handling and socialization of a puppy are critical to their development into a well adjusted adult. As they grow they will require your steady, kind leadership, commitment to their training and rely on you for their extensive daily exercise needs.

If you would like one of Macy's puppies, “dogs to be”, to consider your application, please tell us why your home would be suitable for a puppy in the comments section of your application.

The puppies will only be placed in homes with (1) adults or older children who can treat a dog with kindness and respect and (2) one that clearly has the dedication and substantial time throughout the day to devote to raising a puppy to responsible adulthood.

In addition to the adoption fee, there is a required $200 spay/neuter deposit refundable upon proof of spay/neuter. You will be required to sign an Adoption Agreement.
