Levi

Levi is approximately 3 years old in these pictures taken March 8, 2008. He is such a sweet boy and loves attention. He does well on a leash too. Levi is a shelter favorite. We feel so sorry for him though as he has given up it seems. He no longer comes to the front of the kennel when people come to look at the dogs available for adoption. He just lies there and looks at them sadly. It is like he knows that he will not get picked so why bother. Sadly, here in our area, his chances of getting adopted are very slim. Levi was so happy and playful the day we took him out for pictures and so enjoyed the attention. The sad look he gave us when we put him back in the kennel broke our hearts.

If you can ONLY HAVE ONE DOG, THIS IS THE DOG for YOU! Why...because Levi has the heart and personality to make up for not having another dog. He is extremely loyal, friendly, smart, and well behaved. Levi did great with the 10 year old who help hold him for the pictures. We also found out that he still knows how to sit and heal on command. So he has retained that since he came into the shelter.

The only flaws we have found with Levi is that he wants to be the only dog and he gets upset when another dog comes around his human. He also has food aggression around other dogs. He will not let another dog eat and will go from food bowl to food bowl no matter where you put it. Levi DOES NOT have any food aggression with people. He is GREAT with people.
