This bright, handsome, 3 yr old (on July 11), smooth black and tan chiweenie came to us from a commercial breeding facility terribly scared of humans. But in the past few months, he has learned that people aren't so bad and life outside the breeding industry is pretty cool. Leo enjoys spending time outside exploring and sunbathing. He gets along well with other small dogs and enjoys cuddling, playing and getting the zoomies with them. He will need a small resident dog in his future home to help guide him and provide companionship. Leo is still shy at first, but after getting comfortable with you he enjoys your attention and being loved on. Even though he likes playing with other dogs, he's a pretty mellow dude that will just hang out with you on the couch while you watch TV. He can still be a bit skittish at times, but with patience and time, that will improve. He will do best in a fairly quiet home with no young kids. Leo is doing great on potty training as long as he is taken outside regularly. He is crate trained and sleeps nicely in his kennel all night without a peep. He still needs to work on leash training so will need a securely fenced yard to keep him safe while enjoying his time outside. Leo is a smart, handsome little guy, ready to enjoy his new life.
