My Story

Leo was left at Metro Animal Control with his brother when he was just 3 weeks old. Just 1 ½ hours before he was to be put down, a good samaritain rescued him! His hard luck didn't end there, however; he caught his leg in a kennel and broke his knee in two places. Due to the support of our great East Nashville community and a fund called “Lovies Legacy”, he was able to have the surgery done to correct the problem. Dr. Mike Corwin at Airport Animal Clinic says he should be good as new, once the recovery is complete. He has been undergoing physical therapy since February and is now ready to find his forever home. Leo is a happy, bright little 6 month old fellow. His ideal home would be with a friend to run, play, and just generally hang out with. He is housebroken and he will need a fenced yard. Very loving, his favorite thing at night is to snuggle with his human. He like to chew on sticks and chase balls. He is a puppy, so the “chewing” stage is just beginning. If you would like to know more about giving Little Leo his forever home, please call A Bark Above @ 1313 Mcgavock Pike, 258-1600.
