My Story

Hi, my name is Lennon ! I'm from Arkansas. From his foster: Lennon is such a good, sweet boy, curious boy who is part shark at the moment. If you can look past the mouthiness of his teething stage, you will have a sweet, loving boy when those puppy teeth are gone! He loves toys so lots of toys are a great redirection. When he is tired, he will go curl up in his crate or find a comfy spot on the couch. He can be quite independent but would love another dog to play with. He is constantly playing with his bio sister and foster sisters, as well as the neighbor dog. Lennon is HIGHLY food motivated and learned "sit in a day. He has it down quite well! We're working on other commands and going to start working on walking on a leash this week. We have a strict potty schedule so he has been very good going potty outside but it is definitely a work in progress since we've only had him for a week. A fenced in yard would be great because he loves just hanging outside which also helps with going potty outside. Currently, he sleeps in a kennel at night which he voluntarily goes into anytime he's tired. We have the crate open with a small gated area around it and woke up to no pee/poop this morning from him or his sister after a full night. Even though we leave the kennel open at night, we think he'd do just fine with a closed kennel but would surely love cuddling in a dog bed/human bed in a bedroom at night. We can just tell Lennon will make a sweet, loving, good boy for anyone who welcomes him into their family. He does great with kids of all ages but given how mouthy he is now, it's good to keep an eye on his biting with small children. We have no concerns about him with kids after those puppy teeth fall out! Not sure about cats since he hasn't been exposed to any but he seems to be very good at reading other animals when they want to be left alone. An ideal forever home would have another dog for Lennon to play with. He has very high puppy energy and loves to play with other dogs. A fenced yard would also be great since he loves to run around and could spend most of the day just exploring and laying outside.
