My Story

Lennon Terrier mix Female Spay date 9/18/24 25 lbs DOB: 2/14/24 Lennon is the last of her litter from Texas to make her way to Buffalo! She was so incredibly timid when she arrived that she refused to come out of her crate for an entire day. With patience, love, and lots of treats she is blossoming before our eyes. Lennon loves to give kisses and cuddles and will follow her favorite person from room to room. She also loves to go outside, though getting her to walk on a leash was a struggle at first. However, in just one week, she will go for long walks, but still doesn't know to potty in the grass. She will pee on a pee pad without missing, but poop on the ground next to it. She's so smart though; she just needs someone who can be patient and take her out often enough until she figures it out! Lennon truly has the sweetest personality and will make an amazing companion to a lucky person or family. She would likely do well with another dog in the home to show her the ropes, but has not been tested yet with cats. She watches squirrels with interest, but isn't pulling on her leash to chase them. She also sleeps perfectly in her crate all night without making a peep! Lennon is also learning not to jump up (we're only showing affection when four paws are on the ground- and it's working). She may be better suited for a family with older children as she is so timid, however she has been wonderful with my five year old- though she has experience at this point with foster dogs and does not invade their space. Slow introductions for strangers are best as she is still overcoming whatever she went through in TX. Don't let that scared demeanor stop you from a meet and greet. To say she has come leaps and bounds from her arrival in a very short time is an understatement! She is sweet, goofy, and loving and will make a wonderful companion. Are you willing to give her the love, squeaky plushy toys, and attention she so deserves?! If you are interested in Lennon, please apply or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved.
