Leonard is my real name, but you can call me LEN. So Gerdy took me on—I have never figured out why I wasn’t wanted, I am SUCH a sweet year old boy with not a mean bone, but my family was going to euthanize me, they said they didn’t have time for me. I PROMISE you will love me, I have the softest eyes! I am a Foxhound but I am only 45 pounds so a nice size, easy to manage, gentlemanly dog. I am the perfect family dog, BUT only one thing—I chase cats if they do not stand up to me and give me a swat—so if you don’t have a cat, I should do just fine as I think they are toys to chase! Being neutered, I am vaccinated , dewormed, and heartworm tested negative. I like other friendly dogs! I am clean in the house but if you go out, put me in a crate, as I am happier in one if you go out, and don’t mind it at all. I was never a wanted dog,-- Gerdy thinks a one-on-one situation is what I need until I get housetrained well, I have to concentrate on being the best I can be first, but I am learning! I would love a second dog my size! I need a SECURE and fenced-in yard because being a hound I will follow my nose to the ends of the earth if allowed to run loose! But I am easy to walk on leash as I am not TOO big! I am SO AFFECTIONATE—Len, Leonard, or Lennie—you will be getting the most wonderful guy in the world!
