My Story

Meet Lemons, a charming (approximately) 4-year-old, 40 pound sweetheart (she could lose a few) looking for her forever home! Lemons is house trained, crate trained, and non-destructive. She barks only when her people leave her, but is otherwise quiet and well-mannered. She would do best in a single family home for that reason! At night, she enjoys sleeping either with her people or in her bed. Lemons is very dog-friendly, although she can be a bit fearful of some dogs. She gets along well with cats and children, provided they respect her boundaries. Ideal for a family with kids aged 10 and up, Lemons is sensitive to noise and prefers a quieter environment. Active and playful, Lemons loves to walk, play with toys, and go on car rides. She might take a minute to warm up to playing with toys, and shows her excitement by jumping. Leash trained and good with a running trot, she could be a great running partner. Lemons knows several commands, including sit, let’s go, stay, go to bed, down, come, and stop. Her favorite treats include french fries, green beans, her food, vanilla ice cream, and various dog treats. Lemons is affectionate, loves to smile, snuggle, and sleep. She enjoys listening to music and watching TV and is okay with baths. One of her favorite pastimes is sunbathing on the patio and taking in the fresh morning air. Lemons would thrive in a home where someone works from home or can bring her along to places, as she loves being around her people and dislikes being alone. She is extremely affectionate, enjoying cuddles, and is allowed on both the couch and bed. A fenced yard would be preferable, but she would still do well with regular walks. For safety, ensure car windows are not open enough for her to jump out, as she might be tempted when the car stops. Lemons would be happier with another dog in the home, but can also be the only pet as long as she gets plenty of attention and companionship. Lemons is ready to bring joy, affection, and loyalty to her new family. If you think you can provide the loving home she deserves, please submit an application and we'll be in touch!
