Leia is available for adoption and ready to steal your heart! This sweet momma was found as a stray in town and was brought in by animal control. She was covered in a staph infection which is healing beautifully, but she was also emaciated and lactating. Unfortunately she was likely bred and given away when her puppies no longer needed her, but we know she deserved better. She is short, but thick, and weighs about 50lbs. Leia has been a dream meeting humans and has been a go-to adoption event start. She has the best expressions and the sweetest eyes. She was reactive in the beginning of her stay with us regarding other dogs, but has since settled down now that she understands the routine. She has been in playgroup with other dogs and done very well. Some introductions take a few more minutes than others when it comes to other dogs, but generally she has been wonderful.
