Leia

Leia is a small girl, weighing in at 6 lbs. She came to Tiny Paws Rescue after finding herself being surrendered to an overcrowded county shelter. Her mom passed away suddenly and she had nowhere to go. She was super shy at first but the moment she saw another dog in the foster house, her eyes lit up and her tail sprung into action. Leia likes to sleep in but has spurts of playful energy where she loves playing fetch! She potties outside on a schedule but also is pee-pad trained and will use it if needed and you’re busy. She loves burrowing in the covers, cuddling, being carried, and wearing clothes! Leia is good on a leash but does get scared of dogs bigger than her. She completely ignores the cats in her foster home. She does like to bark whenever she hears something questionable and needs her person to assure her it’s ok and she will calm down. Leia is motivated by food and attention. She’s very people-friendly, goofy, and lovable! ******************** We think she is in the range of 7-10 years old but we just don't know for sure. The family member surrendering her was estranged from the Leia's caretaker who passed, so we have no info other than that she was loved. While in our care, Leia has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative), and has had a dental cleaning (with extractions). ******************** Available for adoption in the Metro Atlanta area only.
