Leah is a six year old, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped female pit bull. True to the breed she is resilient, sweet, funny, active, loyal and wants ALL THE CUDDLES!
Leah has been neglected, left alone outside for most of her life, her food allergy was untreated but her skin is healing now, she was shut down and confused.
Now that her foster mom has gotten to know her, she suggests Leah go to a home with no other dogs or a submissive male dog her size or larger. She is a bossy girl and likes her space and can get jealous. Small dogs tend to annoy her. She can live with cats though. She is completely indifferent to them.
Leah is learning to love going for walks, she is so nice on the leash. She loves toys, chewy things, tennis balls for fetching, she loves to play but can settle down very easily.
She is potty trained, knows basic commands, and is kennel trained. She is food motivated which makes training a breeze! She does get anxious when her people are out of sight or when she’s left alone, but she’s not destructive and she settles after a few minutes. She just doesn’t like being left alone for too long.
This special girl needs to be treated like a princess for the rest of her life. She has had a rough start but we know her person/people are out there and ready to make up for lost time!
