Lazarus is a sweet easy-going senior German Shepherd who is new to GSGSR foster care. He is a very affectionate and happy boy despite his bad luck of losing his home in his senior years. He knows a few basic commands, but he is willing to prove old dogs can be taught new tricks. Lazarus is looking for someone to help him live up to his new name and provide him with his forever home.
Lazarus, is currently living in one of our foster homes with two other dogs. He has a lot of play left in him and enjoys the long walks with his pals, as well as just lounging around on a sunny spring day in the front yard, surveying the neighborhood and soaking in the sun. Since entering his foster home, Lazarus has spent time with the kids in the neighborhood as well as time around younger children. As we don’t know his complete background he should go to a home with children 7 and older. He likes to chase a ball or tug toy with a goofy jump and run, and he will chase cats. After a few weeks he will also strongly hint that he is very comfortable on a couch!.
Lazarus is neutered and has been fully vetted. As with all GSGSR dogs, he is up to date on vaccinations and heartworm preventative. As we get to know more about Lazarus, we will update his info.
