Layla

Layla is a 3 yr old medium sized fun loving dog around 45 pounds who is a Pit Terrier mix. Layla loves everyone she has met including children and other dogs. Cats are unknown at the time. She knows basic commands such as sit, stay and down. She sleeps in her crate at night on command and will often lay down inside her crate for naps through the day. Layla is housebroken. Layla loves car rides and really enjoys playing ball. She loves to be snuggled especially on her belly. Layla enjoys her quiet time, couch time and self soothes herself to sleep by nibbling softly on her blanket. Because Layla is an active pup, a fence is recommended at this time. Her foster mom has been working with her on her leash manners and says she has improved a lot! This lovey is currently with a wonderful foster family who would love to show you what Layla can do! Layla's story: Layla and her two puppies were found locked in a kennel in an abandoned apartment in West Des Moines, Iowa. Her two puppies still had their umbilical cords attached, indicating they were just 3-4 days old. They came into our care where everyone immediately fell in love with the sweet little family. Layla was initially scared and nervous, but once she knew she and her puppies were safe her personality came through and revealed a very loving, well-behaved girl.
