6-10-09 Poor Sweet Lauren! She was found as a stray near our partner shelter in the south, and sadly no one came to claim her. She has little to no chance of being adopted in the south because she is an older black dog (two strikes against her). To make it 3 strikes, she had tested heartworm positive. Her wonderful foster family helped her through treatment and she is now healthy and ready to travel north.
From the beginning Lauren has acted like she was someone's family pet, and she lived peacefully with several other dogs in her foster home. Lauren might be a little up in age but she doesn't act like it. She loves to have her stomach rubbed and does great with kids and other dogs. She deserves to find a forever home that will love and cherish her - don't you think?
If you can't foster or adopt Lauren please consider donating to her care by clicking on the donate button below. Thank you!
